How the AAC calculator works
Pick your block size (4-inch / 6-inch / 8-inch), enter wall length × height, set wastage (5% is standard), and the calculator returns blocks needed + bags of Ramco Block Fix thin-bed adhesive + total live cost. AAC face area is 600 mm × 200 mm = 1.29 sqft per block — that's the divisor.

Critical rule: always use thin-bed adhesive
Never lay AAC blocks with cement-sand mortar. The thermal performance drops 40-50% and the bond is weaker. Always use Ramco Block Fix (or MYK / Weber equivalent) at ~0.4 kg per 6-inch block. The calculator includes the right adhesive quantity automatically.
